Coronavirus (COVID-19) Announcement

Gateway First Bank, Correspondent Lending is actively monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic.   Gateway First Bank is committed to following the Centers for Disease Control recommendations of self-quarantine and social distancing to deal with the COVID-19 virus.   Based on these recommendations, we have mobilized our staff to work from home to ensure we are able to meet the needs of our clients.  In addition, we have suspended business travel as well as all internal and external events.   We understand this might make communication with staff more difficult, so we encourage email as the main form of communication whenever possible.  Our team is committed to maintaining the level of service you, our clients, are accustomed to.

For loans closing on or after March 16, 2020, Gateway requires proof of Gap Insurance Coverage if the loan closed and the Security Instrument was not able to be recorded.  If the Security Instrument was able to be recorded, please provide the Final Title Policy or proof of the Security Instrument recorded on the closing date.  As a quick reminder, Gateway follows Agency guidelines with respect to appraisal requirements, verification of employment and income.  Gateway also requires the original note prior to purchase and currently does not accept e-signed notes or any hybrid e-signed closing documents.
