Jace has more than 20 years of experience in the mortgage banking industry and has been in correspondent lending since 2007. He joined Gateway’s Correspondent Division in 2014 as a Regional Sales Manager and his territory includes Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Wisconsin.
After starting his career as a Loan Officer in 2002, Jace was offered an opportunity with Central National Bank (CNB) in 2007 to grow their Correspondent Lending Division. At CNB, he increased loan production by more than 40% in his first year and grew annual production to more than $125 million. After his success at CNB, Cowan was offered a correspondent account executive position at US Bank Home Mortgage. In less than two years at US Bank, Jace qualified for President’s Club with more than $700 million in production.
Cowan earned a B.S. degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and currently resides in Leawood, Kansas with his wife Darcy and 3 children. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and volunteering at the Heartland Therapeutic Riding Center.
