Joanne has been in the mortgage banking industry for over 40 years and in correspondent lending for 38 years. She joined Gateway in November of 2015 as the Regional Sales Manager for Texas and New Mexico. Prior to joining Gateway, she was Vice President of Correspondent Lending at Charter Bank in Albuquerque, NM where she grew production over 27 years to almost $800 million annually. After the bank closed in 2010, she joined Cornerstone Home Lending and was responsible for building and growing the Correspondent Lending Division where she was producing almost $40 million per month. Joanne is passionate about community lending and about her customers. She works diligently to earn their trust and respect and to provide them with exceptional customer service.
Born in Houston, Texas, she has resided in Albuquerque, NM for over 44 years. She graduated from the University of New Mexico (UNM) after initially attending Texas A&M University for three years. She enjoys golf, dancing, and watching her sons, both UNM graduates, fulfill their dreams. Her oldest son is a professor of music theory (Ph.D.) and classical pianist and her youngest is a medical sales representative and New Mexico’s only professional strongman. She especially loves spending time with her two granddaughters Shae and Sedona.
